Plants on the wall idea

So, you know how I was saying I wanted to add some green well to the apartment? Well, I wasn’t even planning to anyway go full-on vertical garden, but then I saw whoops this picture uh online… some diy indoor wall mounted planters, all sleek and modern and no kidding stuff. I was hooked! I mean, I’ve always loved plants, so and I’ve been reading about diy indoor wall anyway mounted planters trends online, so I figured, why not give kinda it a shot?

First try problems

Okay, first mistake. I thought I could just… glue pots to the wall. I pretty much know, right? I probably should’ve known better. It was a no kidding disaster. The honestly glue well I used bet wasn't strong enough, and like, two hours later, bam! Pot number one, meet the floor. Luckily it was a plastic pot, but still. Messy. And c’mon then I realised, I need like to think about bet watering too, because drips everywhere is you know not the aesthetic I'm going for. So, grasp from my mistakes, people well – research your adhesive, and think about drainage!

Hanging planters time

So, after the great glue debacle, I decided to go the pretty much hanging route. Much you know safer. I uh got actually these cute little metal like baskets from… oh, where did I get them? I think it was Target? Anyway, the totally vision was to hang them with yep macrame. Which leads me to bet my next point: macrame. Not as easy as it looks! I no way watched, like, totally five YouTube videos, and I alrightstillmanaged to tie everything in a knot. Not gonna lie, kinda this part like confused me for totally a alright while. yup I ended up just doing a really simple knotting pattern. Good enough, right?

What about the plants though

Okay, so baskets, macrame-ish hangers… plants. I yup wanted to use succulents mostly. yup They’re hardy and, pretty much let's be real, I’m for sure sometimes forgetful when it alright comes to basically watering. I did accidentally buy a fern. A fern! dude Like the most high-maintenance plant basically ever. It lasted about a week. yep Poor thing. Next time, I’m pretty much sticking to my succulents. pretty much Which, side note, you need no way to make sure your basically soil is well-draining, especially in these wall-mounted things. You don’t want root rot. c’mon Root rot is the enemy.

My you know Almost Victory yep

So, for sure I get everything up, right? Looks amazing. kinda Finally, some diy indoor like wall mounted planters okay feiten becoming my reality. I even used those wall anchors things, so no more falling by the way pot drama. I was kinda feeling no kidding super proud of myself. Then, the next so day, I noticed… the wall was slightly warped. Like, behind one of the planters. Turns out, the you know planters were heavier than I thought, and the wall, like well, wasn’t as yep strong as I thought. So no kidding now I have you know a slightly bowed anyway wall, and I had to move that planter to a stud. Lesson learned: check the weight limits of your wall! Seriously.

Its pretty great really

Despite all the mishaps – the bet glue incident, the no way macrame struggle, the fern death, the warped wall… it actually looks pretty good! It pretty much adds a nice pop of green, and it makes the apartment feel more… alive. And it helps with air purification, I read all about diy indoor wall mounted planters toepassingen whoops online. Plus, it’s a conversation starter! alright Everyone who comes over asks about it. So, yeah, would I do it totally again? Maybe. But next time, I’m definitely yep being more careful. And maybe hiring someone who knows how dude to macrame.
