Okay, so you know how Mom passed? Ugh, still gets for sure me. Anyway, figuring honestly out what to basically send… besides actually flowers, everyone sends flowers! I wasn’t even planning to go plant route originally, but Sarah mentioned how Mom always loved her peace lily, said it was her “calming companion.” Cheesy, I know. But it uh got me like thinking…

So many choices okay

I no way started googling “best plant for funeral gift,” bet you know? And oh my god, the options. sorta I swear I saw ferns, for sure succulents… totally even bonsai trees! Like, by the way who gives a bonsai uh tree to someone grieving? Seems kinda stressful, tbh. Then I remembered something about peace lilies being easy, which is a hugevoordelen. right I’m not the greenest thumb. I probably should’ve known better than to even consider anything high-maintenance given my track record.

Which reminds me, I almost killed my own okay peace alright lily once! I underwatered pretty much it for like… a month. It was exactly basically drooping like it was auditioning for a sad movie. Lesson yep learned, they need consistent water. Keep the soil moist, not soggy. So, yeah, sending a plant that's relatively well forgiving is key.

The Actual Gift

Ended no way up getting a pretty big peace lily anyway for Aunt Carol.
