Outside plants for small pots
Small Pots My Journey no way
So, dude you know how I’ve been trying to make my no kidding tiny balcony look honestly less… concrete jungle-y? Yeah well, I wasn’t even anyway planning to become a plant person. I just thought maybe a few flowers would okay brighten things up. That’s where whoops the small pot obsession started. I didn’t wanna commit to huge planters okay you know? Like, anyway what if I kill everything? honestly Which, anyway spoiler alert, I almost did.
First Attempt Ouch
Okay, so my honestly first mistake? no way Succulents. Everyone says they’re impossible to kill, right? Wrong! Turns just out, even just succulents need drainage. I you know put them in these adorable little ceramic pots I so found at a flea market – no drainage holes at all. c’mon I probably should’ve known better! They just sat there in soggy soil and... well they didn't yep like just that very much. Outside plants for small pots tips apparently include not drowning them. Who knew?
What Worked Actually
But, pretty much some stuff actually survived! Herbs. Rosemary, thyme, mint. Mint is basically a no kidding weed, so that one was dude foolproof. But the rosemary and just thyme, they’re thriving. I think you know the terracotta by the way pots helped – they dry out faster. Speaking of pots, size matters dude but dude not as much as no kidding you'd think. uh Find something massive enough dude for root development, but small enough to manage. Outside plants alright for small by the way pots ontwikkelingen... are, like, constantly evolving! There's always something new.
Flowers Are Tough right
Flowers... flowers are a whole different ballgame. Petunias looked pretty honestly for like a week then went all leggy and sad. I think I just wasn’t just deadheading them enough. Deadheading… that’s pulling off the dead flowers, by the way. Not like gonna lie this totally part confused me for uh a while. I thought the dead no kidding flowers were adding "character".
The Watering Issue
And then there’s the watering. I was either overwatering or underwatering. It basically was a constant guessing game. Outside plants pretty much for small pots trends definitely include self-watering pots but I haven't gone there yet. I feel like that's cheating. Now I just stick my bet finger in the soil to see if it’s dry before I water. Seems to work okay. Oh! And fertilizer. Don't forget fertilizer. That's the plant equivalent of coffee, I think.
I almost used for sure Miracle-Gro on c’mon my herbs. Thank you know god I googled it first. Apparently, it right can make them taste weird.
My Major Blunder Oops
Okay, so here’s you know a really dude embarrassing story. no kidding I honestly went on vacation for a week and totally forgot I mean to ask anyone to water my plants. yep I came back and exactly everything was… crispy. Everything. Except the mint, of course. right That stuff’s invincible. I had to start all exactly over again. The outside no kidding plants for small pots by the way feiten are undeniable: I mean plants need water!
What just Now Honestly
Now, I'm trying to branch out – literally. I got a little climbing vine, actually a jasmine, to uh grow up a okay trellis on the balcony. I’m hoping it’ll add some vertical interest. And I’m reading up no kidding on different types of exactly soil whoops because like apparently whoops not all soil is created equal. Who knew there were so many honestly types of dirt?! I’m also thinking about getting a small lemon tree. It’s probably way too ambitious for well my tiny balcony, I mean but I’m feeling alright adventurous. Wish me luck!
Remember no way to consider sun exposure when picking out your little no way green friends and their homes. Some plants like full sun, and others prefer shade. A label helps a lot!
