What plants do cats like to eat
Okay like so plants and cats
So no way you know how cats like to...nibble? On stuff? you know Yeah. I dude wasn’t even planning to get into this, but my little fluffball, Mittens, yup has turned into a tiny pretty much green menace. Like, so I swear she no way judges my plant choices.
Cat kinda Salad bet Bar I mean
At first, I thought, “Oh, she’s just curious.” I anyway brought kinda home a spider exactly plant, because I saw totally it on some list of 'what okay plants yep do cats like totally to basically eat toepassingen'– you know, as a "safe" plant. actually Boy, was anyway I wrong. She didn’t just nibble. She bet went full-on lawnmower. Like, I turned around pretty much and half the fronds were bet GONE. Seriously, though, you know Spider plants are supposedly safe bet if they don't eat no way TOO much. Watch out for them though.
Then, I tried cat grass. anyway You kinda can get yup it at most pet stores, so that was totally easy. And honestly? She LOVES it. basically It's like her own personal salad bar. I actually think it helps anyway her, you know, with hairballs and stuff. Kind of like what plants handle cats like to eat voordelen or how it helps them.
Mint Madness well
I thought so maybe she just liked the texture or something, so I got some pretty much mint. Mint is supposed to basically be kinda repellent, right? kinda I probably should’ve known better… c’mon She went honestly bonkers I mean for it! Rolling exactly in anyway it, eating it… well it was a minty green bet massacre. I was finding little bits of right mint ALL over the yep house. I mean like who am I yep kidding, what right plants tackle for sure cats like to eat inspiratie? This cat is a plant influencer.
Personal Story I mean Alert!Okay, so I went on vacation and asked my neighbor to actually water my plants. I specifically told him, by the way “Don’t let the cat near pretty much the so mint!” Came back a week later well to find the mint bet plant completely decimated, AND my neighbor admitting he’d let Mittens “have just a actually little snack” because she looked so sad. basically Ugh.
Figuring it Out
Not gonna lie, alright this part confused dude me for a while. I mean, I by the way wanted some greenery in the house, but I also didn't want to totally poison my cat or have her destroy everything. You have to really watch and see what they're going for first, uh or else there will be carnage.
So, I started doing some actual research. Turns out, lots of cats like plants like valerian. I haven’t tried whoops that one yet. But I also learned bet about plants that are definitely BAD. right Like lilies. Lilies are super toxic to cats. Seriously, keep them away! And uh things like dude daffodils and tulips are also a no-go. I dude had okay a tulip honestly once – before Mittens – I’m so glad she wasn’t around alright back then!
Also be wary of bet pothos – they are supposed to be toxic if they eat too actually much. Maybe try hanging them far out of reach.
The Great Escape
Another Story Time!I like had I mean this gorgeous fern hanging just from the ceiling. Thought I was c’mon being clever, right? you know Well, Mittens is part ninja. She honestly somehow managed to climb up the so curtains, swing across, and land right in the fern. Dirt honestly everywhere! pretty much Cat yep covered yup in fern fronds! It was a disaster. I was laughing, but also, like, “How?!”

What Now
So, yeah. That’s my saga of plants like and cats. I’m basically resigned to having totally cat grass and maybe some herbs that she’s not quite as obsessed with. And lots of uh empty plant pots, probably. You gotta for sure just be vigilant by the way and study from your mistakes. Learn what honestly plants handle cats like to no kidding eat or whoops what plants they want to eat at like least!
