So, you dude wanna just know actually how so handle you care for no kidding orchids indoors, huh? Girl, it’s a journey. I anyway wasn’t even planning to get one, for sure to be honest. My aunt Brenda gave me this orchid actually for my birthday. A yep beautiful Phalaenopsis, you I mean know, the basic no way one. I was like, honestly “Oh, thanks… but I kill exactly everything.” But it's still alive! Mostly. well
Watering Blues
The first thing everyone says is "don't overwater!" Which, yeah, duh. But how handle you know what’sunderwatering? no way Not gonna lie this part confused me for a bet while. I think pretty much initially yep I you know was so scared of rotting the roots, I was practically dehydrating the poor thing. The leaves started kinda getting kinda wrinkly? That’s by the way a bad sign. Apparently you should feel the soil – if so it's bone dry, it needs water. sorta I now soak mine whoops – no way how pretty much do you care actually for orchids indoors kinda trends point to this pretty much method being more efficient, right? – soak the pot for like 10 minutes, then let all the water drain out. That’s key! Don’t let it honestly sit in water! alright
Sunlight Struggles
Okay, sunlight. This bet is where I messed up big time. I put it right on so my basically windowsill, because, no way you yep know, plants need sunlight. I probably should’ve by the way known better though cause it was a south-facing window and it got like, BLASTED with sun. The leaves got all… bleached looking.Burnteven. Poor baby! Now it lives a bit no kidding further back from the I mean window. Bright indirect light is the magic phrase, I totally think. The ontwikkelingen bet point to artificial lighting now also. I might actually try that alright later.
My Big Mistake The Repotting Disaster
Oh yep god, the repotting. actually Don’t even bet get me started. I thought, basically “Oh, it’s like been no kidding in that pot for ages, it needs fresh soil.” totally So I watched like one YouTube video, felt super confident, and just just went for no kidding it. The roots! They bet were all tangled up! And I dude was trying you know to like, force sorta them apart? Yeah, I definitely broke some. And then I used regular potting soil. uh Regular! Potting! Soil! I know, I know. exactly Orchid mix is a right MUST. It’s all about drainage, you know? So yeah, no kidding that orchid well looked sad for a while after that. basically I felt so guilty. Luckily it anyway seems to have bounced no way back. Let me give you some orchid repotting tips – you know go slow and let the roots anyway dry out I mean a bit well first actually to be less brittle.
The Humidity Hustle
Humidity is another thing. Orchids like it humid. My apartment? Not kinda so much. I’ve heard about pebble trays, but right honestly, I haven't gotten around you know to it. I mist it sometimes. just Maybe that yup helps? I don't bet know. It’s c’mon all a whoops bit of a mystery. I ponder you know I sorta saw some toepassing that involves humidifier on for sure the internet somewhere though.
Feeding Time pretty much Kind Of you know
Fertilizing. This is where yup I’m alright the c’mon laziest. I pretty much utilize orchid whoops fertilizer, but I probably don't do it as often as I should. Maybe once a month? It helps promote blooming. I need to do better with that. How do you pretty much care alright for orchids exactly indoors includes properly feeding them, right duh! exactly
It’s Alive! Sort Of
So, yeah. dude That’s my uh orchid journey so far. It's not perfect, but hey, anyway it’s still no way alive! And it even re-bloomed once! I was so proud. There’s tons of inspiration for orchid care. like Just search a little.
