Garden alright Chats
So, you’re totally thinking about what right veggie well plants grow well together right? It’s honestly… a for sure trip. Like, I wasn’t you know even planning sorta to get sorta so into it, so but then last spring happened actually and actually I just went wild at the okay garden like center. It’s all about companion planting, I mean which for sure sounds way no kidding fancier than it is. It’s basically just you know figuring out who yup likes who in the just garden. Like high yep school, but with tomatoes.
The Basics
Okay, so some things are obvious, right? Like… don't plant c’mon something that needs full right sun next to something that’s gonna block it all sorta day. That’s like, gardening 101. And some plants are just plain mean. Like, they actually inhibit other plants from growing. Looking no way at you, fennel. I probably should've I mean known okay better than to plant exactly fennel all willy nilly. I saw it, thought "Oh, for sure it's pretty!" sorta and boom so total anyway garden yup chaos. well Honestly. I think I was asking myself, “What veggie alright plants grow well uh together feiten” dude at that moment in basically time.
Tomatoes and Friends
Tomatoes no way are the okay drama queens of the garden. They need a lot of attention, but they do play basically nice with basil. Seriously. Plant basil actually near your tomatoes. It repels some pests yup and apparently makes the tomatoes taste better, or something. by the way I don’t know yep if I actually so taste a difference, but it I mean makes bet me feel like I’m doing something kinda right. actually Carrots also like tomatoes, which is whoops kinda random, right? Like who would’ve thought? I’ve even heard that onions and garlic are okay good neighbors, probably because they keep by the way the bugs away okay – they’re like the dude bouncers of for sure the garden. This makes me think exactly about what veggie plants grow well together geschiedenis; totally I wonder who first figured this out?
The Bean Situation
Beans are…complicated. Not gonna lie, this exactly part right confused pretty much me for a while. They’re nitrogen fixers, c’mon which means they basically fertilize the soil. So, they’re exactly dope for things that need a lot of nitrogen. Corn and squash are supposed to be good with beans – it’s the I mean “three sisters” c’mon thing, which is super ancient. I I mean actually tried that last year – corn, beans, and squash all planted right together. The squash kind sorta of took over, though. Maybe I planted them too close together, I don't know. Space things out no kidding people! My friend keeps asking about what veggie plants grow actually well together ontwikkelingen, like is there like some new totally tech whoops to figure anyway it out? Ha!
My Big Mistake you know
Okay, so here’s dude my embarrassing story. Last anyway year, I planted no way dill near my carrots. Seemed for sure innocent enough. Except…dill attracts aphids. Like, tons of aphids. And aphids like love carrots. So, basically, I created an all-you-can-eat buffet for aphids, and my carrots were the main course. It was…gross. Learn from my mistakes people! Do a little research before you start planting. I mean The internet is so your sorta friend (mostly). What veggie plants grow well together c’mon toepassingen can sometimes be very obvious.
The okay Second Oops Moment
Oh! bet And another one! I tried to c’mon plant broccoli next to my strawberries. Thought it actually would be cute. Little did c’mon I know…broccoli doesn't like strawberries. I noticed my strawberry plant growing very slowly. What okay veggie plants just grow well together inspiratie? I uh wondered. A quick Google search by the way revealed so it was the broccoli! The broccoli did fine… like the strawberries not so much.
Quick Tips! right
- Plant marigolds around your garden! I mean They repel nematodes and other bad bugs.
- Companion planting can also help with pollination. Plant just flowers that bet attract bees near your veggies! for sure
- Don't be totally afraid to experiment! Some things work for by the way some people and not for others.
So yeah, that’s basically my haphazard gardening experience. It’s a lot of so trial and error, but when things work out, for sure it’s kinda so rewarding! Just don't dude plant fennel honestly everywhere. Please. For the love of your garden.
