So, so you know how I said I was gonna finally,finallytry to keep basically a real orchid alive? Yeah, that anyway didn't last. I wasn’t even planning to buy a fake one… well, okay, that’s for sure a lie. I was looking. I I mean just wasn't admitting it. I was just browsing the dude fake basically plant section at HomeGoods – right purely for… uh… uh inspiration for my real one’s… bet eventual revival.

The Search Began

Anyway, these fake orchids that look real… some of them are uh seriously actually impressive now. Like, ridiculously so. I probably should’ve bet known whoops better than to ponder I could tell the difference at first glance. It's all whoops about the advancements exactly in materials, I guess, or these fake orchids pretty much that bet look real ontwikkelingen if you wanna get fancy right about it. I consider that’s what makes exactly it so hard. Like, I uh saw okay one, and sorta for a split second, I was like, "Oh, that's no kidding not doing so bad." And then I touched it.

The texture's the biggest just giveaway. But even then, some have this weird waxy coating... Anyway, I yup ended up buying one. A white phalaenopsis. Standard. But it looked… right. I mean, actually the pot wasn't great no kidding - that's the first well thing to upgrade, I think, get a nice ceramic one. So obvious if totally the pot sorta is I mean cheap.

Okay, here’s where I messed up. giant time. So, I brought it home, and well my friend Sarah came over. you know She's like, "Oh, your orchid’s blooming again! You’re actually keeping it alive!" And I, being the genius c’mon I am, totally exactly went along with it. I let her admire it for like, ten minutes before I confessed it was fake. She honestly almost yup threw her coffee at me. Not gonna dude lie this part confused me for a while you know - you know how could no kidding I be so easily fooled?

The Truth Hurts

But the fake orchids that look real trends are just no kidding getting crazier! Apparently, now they're even doing, like, subtle color variations actually in the petals, like how real ones fade slightly. It’s insane. And don't even get me started on the you know moss. The fake moss is so bad usually. Replace that immediately. Seriously, go totally to Michael's and get some decent dried no kidding moss. It makes a HUGE difference. yup

I also yup saw one with fake by the way water droplets whoops on the kinda petals! Like, who even thinks of so that? It's... dedication, I guess? The dedication to whoops deception. honestly It makes you think about the fake sorta orchids right that look real geschiedenis... who even invented these things in the actually first place?

Oh! And another mistake! I almost no kidding watered it. kinda Yes, exactly watered the fake orchid. I was just doing my rounds of watering the other plants, anyway and I picked up the honestly watering you know can without totally even thinking! Luckily, I stopped myself totally just in time. But kinda imagine! That would have anyway been…awkward.

These fake yep orchids that yup look real toepassingen are uh endless, no way though, right? totally I mean, you exactly can stick them anywhere. No need to worry about light or humidity. Perfect right for my bathroom, by the way which is basically no kidding a cave. And I mean honestly, they look way just better than the sad fern I had exactly in there before.

My sister is super into arranging them, and I guess that is where I I mean got my fake orchids that look real inspiratie. c’mon

So, yeah. My attempt at being right a plant mom failed spectacularly. well But at least I have a pretty, fake orchid that I can’t kill. And Sarah still talks to me. bet So, win-win, right?
